Description

" 'What changed' was written after the hardest breakup of my life, when the person who broke my heart wanted to get back together. I couldn’t understand why he had ended things, and though I still loved him after months, and as much as I wanted to forgive him, I couldn’t trust him not to do it again. This song is dear to my heart, with its raw lyrics and mid-tempo sparkling alt-pop production." - Tilsen

If you missed Tilsen's previous opportunity surrounding her song "Love Of Your Life," which made its way into Spotify's editorial playlists "Neu Music Friday - Canada" and "IT'S A BOP" on release day, you're in luck. Tilsen will be releasing her 25th song overall and 6th release with Global Rockstar, titled "What Changed."

This new song has the potential to be another hit for Tilsen, who already has a loyal following of 300k monthly listeners on Spotify alone.

To recap: Tilsen's career has been on the rise since her first release in March 2019. Her top-performing single "Are You Lonely," which was released in April 2021, has gained over 3.8 million streams. Along with her other 23 released songs, Tilsen is close to reaching 10 million streams on Spotify shortly. She has also built a strong and steady base of monthly listeners, rarely dropping below 300k.

Her unique voice and sound have caught the attention of teams at major streaming services, resulting in her songs continuously being added to popular editorial playlists such as "New Music Friday - Canada", "Tropical House", "Discover Weekly", and "IT'S A BOP".

About Tilsen

Tilsen was singing before she could speak. As the daughter of an opera singer, she formed a deep affinity with the human voice. Tilsen’s songs explore real love; the highs and lows, the ecstasy and the pain. Her vocals are intimate as if she is singing her lyrics from between the sheets and into her lover’s ear. Coupled with catchy productions and melodies, vulnerable vocals and bold conversational lyrics, Tilsen tells a love story that is relatable to anyone who has experienced love and heartbreak.
“I spend a lot of time reflecting on my life and my relationships.” she laughs, “I sort of document my thoughts and feelings in my lyrics.”
Tilsen’s music is powerful and strikingly honest. Her imagery is grand; from ballrooms to vast landscapes, there is a vintage aesthetic and Tilsen is a dignified kind of sexy, whether wearing a classy dress or delicate lace lingerie.
Her sophomore EP “Little Worse” is out now.
